Licensing

SudoPocket is suject to the GNU General Public License. You can download the sources (using eMule) and publish a new version, as long as you publish your source code as well. SudoPocket itself is based on Pocket Sudoku. Many thanks to Emil Andersson for sharing it.

How to Play
  • When you tap an empty cell, you place the current number on the empty cell;
  • The current number is shown in the lower right corner;
  • Use your keypad to change the current number;
  • Tap on a filled cell to change the current number;
  • The program will not let you do obvious faults (placing repeated numbers in the same cell/row/sector);
  • To clear a wrong cell, tap and hold the wrong cell;
  • To toggle a pencil mark for the current number, tap and hold the cell;
  • The puzzle generation is done in background while you play. When you use "Game->New" you might get a message stating to wait until the new puzzle is ready.

Have fun.

Hi Lucio,

i installed free sudoku and the .net Compact frameworkas indicated. all went well.

After installation of .NET, i got an error message indicating that there is an error with "gwes.exe" and when i launch fre sudoku, teh numbers are all too big for the screen. this makes the game useless. arethe two problems related? and what would you recommend?

Thanks for your feedback.

Hi,

the two problems are not related. I'm working on the big numbers and I'll post a new version as soon as possible. Can you detail your PDA model and version?

Greetings,
Lúcio

The download files were updated with the following changes:
- added VGA support (large font problems in the previous post);
- left arrow increased the current number;
- pencil marks were not cleared when using Game->Restart;

Have fun!

I have no idea. Is this the only software you have such problems? The executable should be platform independent...

Have you tried more software that requires .Net 2.0?

I tried other games like UFO, Age Of Empire, they run prefectly.
Do you know any others game needs .Net 2.0? I'll get them and try it see it runs or not.

albert, do you have .Net Compact Framework 2.0 installed?
Have you placed the cab file in your device to open it with file explorer inside windows mobile?
What kind of error do you have?

For some reason, my download bar freezes when I try and download the .net. Do you know why this would happen?

Hi yasonf,
I have no idea why it freezes. I never had such a problem. Just make sure you have at least 5mb free for the .Net

Do you directly download it onto your pocketpc or do you transfer it via cable from you computer to your pocketpc?

Hi, you have to install Compact Framework 2.0 using ActiveSync (via cable). It is a 25mb exe file and that should be the reason why it freezes when you download it directly to your device. The Compact Framework installation requires less than 5mb on your device.

I am brand new to pocket PC's. I can install the program but when I try to run it I get an error message saying I need a newer version of the .net framework. I have tried every way I can think of to install the .net framework 2.0 but all I can get is no file assosiation. Can you help me get past this.
Thank you
Les

I had to uninstall the '.net compact framework v2.0' from my laptop and then re-install it. When I re-installed it it also installed it on my ipaq.
